Forge Fund – Essence Chiropractic, Dr. Brianna Biehl-Jackson DC

Dr. Bri opened her clinic on May 1, 2023, in Fayetteville, AR to increase access to wellness care.

Dr. Bri entered college with a pre-med major. An accident at 19 left her with debilitating back pain and facing spinal surgery. A friend’s dad, a chiropractor, encouraged her to try just one visit. That visit changed her career and her life.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas, she attended Cleveland Chiropractic College, where she became a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Today, she operates Essence Chiropractic in Fayetteville, Arkansas, specializing in athletic care, pre-natal care, and pediatric care. Her goal is to grow into a whole health center.
Training to start a business was not included in her medical education, but once again, Dr. Bri sought professionals for guidance. She worked with the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, Forge Fund, Inc., and other providers and mentors. On May 1, 2023, she launched Essence Chiropractic.

For entrepreneurs who are not sure where or how to start, her words of advice:

➔ Don’t be afraid to admit what you do not know. Seek help, ask questions, and find mentors.

➔ It is a lot of work. You will have a lot to learn, and at first, you have to invest and reinvest profits to grow, but it is worth it.

Finding financing for startup businesses is not easy. When asked about making a loan to a startup, the lender with Forge said that she had done the work, knew her business plan, and sought help when needed. That preliminary work demonstrated her commitment to her business success.
